Staying Committed to Salvation

Once we embark on our Christian Journey (according to Acts 2:38) we are making a commitment to salvation. That is to say that salvation is a continual process; we must stay devoted to our walk for Christ. There are several aspects of commitment. One aspect of commitment is persistence. Refer to 2 Kings Chapter 2 with a special emphasis on verses 9-12, these scriptures demonstrate persistence. Elisha wanted something from the Lord, he wanted a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. And in order for Elisha to receive this double portion He had to be persistent, he wouldn’t leave Elijah’s side. So in order to receive our reward of eternal life we have to be persistent, never let go of the gift (the Holy Ghost) that God gave you. Another aspect of our commitment to salvation is purpose. We have to purpose in our heart that we will not transgress. Psalms 17:3 says “Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress”. Psalms 24:4-5 “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation”. So if we desire things that are holy and just we will receive our reward. We as Christians believers should thirst for righteousness. The final aspect of commitment is putting forth a worthy effort within our spiritual journey. . Proverbs 3:9 “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase”. When we honour the Lord with our substance we are putting everything we have towards the work of the Lord. If we are not putting all of our energy into the work of the Lord we are not honoring the Lord like we should. The bible warns against a so-so effort in our walk for the Lord. Revelations 3:14-15 “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot”. It's time out for playing church. Either you are in or you are out. Either you are on fire for the Lord or you are letting you fire burn out. Being committed to salvation means that we need to keep the Holy Ghost fire burning. The way we keep the fire burning is to pray, fast, read our bible, and go to church. Also, we need to keep our mind on things that are true, virtuous. And if you feel like the fire has went out then, it is time to get back on the altar. Anybody can see that time is winding up therefore we need to stay committed to our salvation so we can make it into the kingdom of heaven.

Complete Holiness

1 John 2:15-17
15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Often times individuals claim that they are living for Christ while still trying to hold own to things of the world. As 1 John 2:15 demonstrates we should not love the things of this world. Nowadays people want to take a wash-up with holiness, in other words they want to hold on to some of the things of this world. However, it is time to get fully cleansed by the blood of Jesus. We have a standard to uphold, when we receive the Holy Ghost we give up the things of the world. The bible says what communion has light with dark. Cleary that means that there must be a separation. As children of God, we should pursue righteousness. And by pursing righteousness we will receive our just reward.

Romans 8:31 (There is nothing to big for GOD!)

I was talking to my Overseer the other day, and she said there is nothing going on that God can't handle. My Overseer is exactly right, we should always put our faith and trust in Jesus. Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" So the next time a problem comes up rather, than complaining or getting discouraged why not take it to God in prayer and let God fix it, because there is nothing going on that God can't handle!!!!!

Be encouraged and keep the faith.

Proverbs 6:16-19

Last night my Oveerseer taught on Proverbs 6:16-19 . Today's generation needs to understand that it is time to clean up and be filled with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38.

16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

The 25th annual Fellowship Conference I attended this Weekend at my home church Faith Tabernacle was amazing, I had a great time praising the Lord. Truly Faith Tabernacle and Vision of Faith are holding up the name of Jesus. It is a blessing to be able to come together with true Christian believers, who are filled with the Holy Ghost.
