You have to know it for yourself!!!!

John 4:39-42

39And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

41 And many more believed because of his own word;

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

This passage of scripture occurred after Jesus had talked with the Samaritan woman at the well, during this conversation He revealed that He knew her life story and the mistakes she had made. In addition, He told her about how she could have the living water (Spirit of the Lord) and she would never have to thirst again. Jesus also revealed that He was the one that the prophets of Old talked about (John 4:1-33). God knows our personal history and the mistakes that we have made but regardless of these mistakes He still offers to fill us with his Holy Spirit. Starting at verse 39 we see that the Samaritan woman went and testified to others about that which Jesus revealed unto her and said that Jesus was the Christ. So others came to see what Jesus was about, and they asked him to tarry (stay) with them. Because they asked him to Jesus stayed with them for two days. During this stay He spoke to them (and most likely worked miracles for the people), and because of the time He spent with them Samaritans many people believed that He was Jesus our savior. And in verse 42 we see that some didn't initially believe the testimony of the Samaritan woman, their belief came when they heard Jesus for themselves, the scripture states," Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world".

In order for someone to be saved they have to experience Jesus for themselves. We need a personal relationship with Christ. You have to know within your own heart that Jesus is who He said that He is. Jesus is our Saviour, He is the one that died for our sins and He offers the gift of eternal life, which is available for those who receive the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38. Romans 6:23 says," The wages of sin are death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus offers us eternal life. However, many people rather serve the devil. The devil doesn't have a plan of salvation he desires to sift us as wheat and destroy us. The only thing the devil can offer is sin which eventually leads to death. We must be holy and sanctified in order to please God. We must abstain from the wickedness of the world. Furthermore, we have to work out issues that we have with our brothers and sisters in Christ we cannot hold grudges against others if we have an issue with someone we must work it out. Something as simple as a grudge can keep you out of Heaven. As Christians we must always grow spiritually and seek to go higher in the Lord. And we cannot let out family members keep us out Heaven. Some people may miss out on the Kingdom of God because they value what their parents, spouse, family members of friends say rather than taking heed to the Word of God. However, we must be follow the Spirit of God, and we cannot walk in the flesh, because following the flesh leads to destruction.

Be encouraged and continue to stand for Truth.

Thank GOD for the true plan of salvation (Acts 2:38).

Hallelujah we have the key to being saved it is so simple, all we have to do is repent and be baptized in the name of JESUS for the remission of our sins and then the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) will come. The Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) is our ticket into heaven and without it you will not make it it.
