Christmas is more than giving out presents. We should remember the reason for this season. The birth of JESUS is very significant, something we cannot forget. His miraculous birth was the beginning of the fulfilment of the New testament covenant, and was the beginning of the reconciliation of sinful men. GOD manifested himself as JESUS and this was the first step toward redemption. So thank GOD for the birth of JESUS.

Restoring Worship
1 Samuel 6:15
And the Levites took down the ark of the Lord, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the Lord.
The Ark was brought to Jerusalem with sacrifice, reverence, music and shouting. It inspired worship and the desire to please God. The fact that Jesus sacrificed himself at calvary should inspire everyone to worship God. We as saints of God need to restore worship in our life. It is time to offer up whole hearted praise to God. The Ark of Covenant represented a type of God's glory to the Israelites, but now the Lord has blessed us with the Holy Ghost, He resides in us. It is a blessing to feel the presence of the Lord. There is nothing like a touch from the Lord. The Holy Ghost surpasses all understanding, it is wonderful to know that God has blessed us with His Spirit, He is with us always. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
Be encouraged and uplift Jesus through worship. If you can't worship the Lord, you need to pray that the Lord will revisit you with a Fresh Anointing of the Holy Ghost. Because we should always be able to offer up a praise to the most high God, who is the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Why do I trust God?
Why do I trust in God?
The answer is quite simple, I trust God because of his many great works especially the work God done at Cavalry. The Lord promised us that He would send us a comforter which is the Holy Ghost. And those who have received the Holy Ghost as prescribed by Acts 2:38 realize that the Holy Ghost is the fulfilment of just one of His many promises. And that more things are to follow for those that keep the faith. But we can also look at trees, mountains and other things in the landscape and realize that these are all God's creations. Furthermore if you look at the vastness of the universe (our solar system, other galaxies and/or universes) we see that greatness of God's creation. Scientist often refer to the beginning of creation as the result of a 'big bang'. However, through my eyes of faith. I see the vastness of the universe as a testament to God's omnipotent nature. God is all powerful He has the power to create and destroy entire solar systems with his word. Truly, we serve a great and magnificent God who passes all human understanding. His word is true, and therefore I choose to trust in Him. He never fails, He always makes a way out of no way. Therefore, I have hope because of Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 31:1
Isaiah 31:1 "Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horseman, because they are strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord.
In this scripture there is a warning to Holy Ghost filled believers. Egypt represents a type of bondage, and bondage is representative of sin. Therefore, Isaiah says woe unto them that turn back to sin (perdition) when times get rough or when trials and tribulations come. A lot of Christians nowadays turn right back to their old ways when the journey gets rough. Some people trust more in carnal material things such as houses, cars, jobs (chariots). But no one wants to look to God for help, nor will they seek the Lord and follow him.

Our Labor is not in Vain
Hebrews 6:10: For God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love, which ye have showed towards his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister.
God is righteous he remembers everything that we have done in his name. The work and the labor that we do in honor of his name. He is faithful and just, so keep the faith and continue to lift up his name. We are blessed in all situations just hold and be diligent in your works for Christ.

Trusting in the Lord
Psalms 125:1 They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion which, cannot be removed, but abideth forever.
We must continue to trust in the Lord. At church yesterday, my overseer preached on Jesus Christ the rock of our salvation. In every situation we must trust in the Lord. Angel posted a comment on a previous post that said God will come right on time, and that is very true God always makes a way out of no way. Whenever trials and tribulations arise we must keep our focus on Jesus Christ, who is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. If we trust in the Lord we shall not be moved, we will be able to stand in any situation. God will give us strength to endure any situation, and not only will he give us strength he will remove the burdens and obstacles we must face in life.

7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Paul had a profound sense of the one who had called him, the God to whom he had committed his life. Paul knew God not as an abstraction or a vague idea. He knew Him as his trainer, teammate, and judge. Paul was sure that God's grace would carry him across the finish line as a winner. He could almost feel the gold medal on his chest, could see the laurel wreaths being placed on his head, could hear the cheers of those whose opinion really counts. And you and I need that kind of anticipation in our lives, too.
Most athletes know what I am talking about. Studies of winners show that before they ever head for the track or the ball field or the gridiron, many of them in their own minds will see themselves performing, effortlessly, flawlessly. The decathlon participant will see himself clearing the hurdles. The wide-out will hear the crowd cheering as he catches the winning pass, the swimmer will feel herself touching the wall just before her competitor. They all will experience the thrill of winning in their hearts long before it actually happens before crowds of spectators.
Our spiritual ancestors knew about such things. They sang, "When we all get to heaven..." and they had a feel for that great day about which they sang. Do you feel yourself heaven bound this day? It will make a difference how you live in this world if you do.
Loving God, it is glorious to think of being heaven bound. Amen.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

· These scriptures discuss the importance, of keeping good company.
· The people we hang around influence our actions. (ex. peer pressure)
· Also, hanging around the ungodly crowd can get us in trouble. (wrong place at the wrong time = trouble)
· Misery loves company; negative people enjoy making others miserable.
· Beware of individuals who say they are your friend, but are really wolves in sheep’s clothing.
· “True Friends are those who stick around, during the bad times”
· “It is better to have 1 true friend, than 1,000 imitators”
· We should surround ourselves with positive, Christian people whose intentions are to help us and not bring us down. God used the scriptures to tell us to beware of evildoers, because they will lead us towards a path of destruction.

Psalms 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Often times in life, we are overwhelmed by the troubles of this world. People are robbing, stealing and killing, drug abuse it at an all time high, sickness and disease are ravaging the land. However, when we are overwhelmed we need to go to the rock. And the rock is JESUS CHRIST our savior. As we approach Easter, let's remember that Easter is not about the Easter bunny, it is about the celebration of the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST our saviour. When Jesus rose on the third day after his crucifixion, He demonstrated that He had all power, in heaven and earth and therefore, we can have safety, and security in these perilous times by bringin all of our cares and problems to Him.

Examine Your Paths
Proverbs 4:26
26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
A key component of life are the decisions we make. We must always examine the choices we make (ponder our path). One bad decision can change the entire course of our lives. Often times we hear stories of how someone gets imprisoned by hanging with the wrong crowd. Or a business man decides to embezzle money, and ends up losing his job. A Husband cheats on his wife, and ends up losing his wife. However, one good decision can change the direction of our lives. The best decision I made was to accept Jesus Christ as my saviour, and I would advise those who have not already accepted Jesus, to decide today to accept Jesus. Jesus will establish your paths and He will show us the ways of righteousness.

The process of Remodeling
Haggai 2:4-9
4Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
5According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
6For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
7And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
8The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
9The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
Often times in life we have to go through a remodeling process. The scriptures above demonstrate how the Temple of the Israelites had to be rebuilt. The rebuilding process of the temple are symbolic of how our temple must be remodeled. Sometimes as we go through the trials and tribulations of life we are going through a process of remodeling. When sickness comes upon our body, our when we lose a job, or when any crisis emerges, it strengthens or in some instances renews our relationship with Christ. By going through trails and tribulations the Lord is
making us and molding us into what he wants us to be. And remember once we go through the remolding process, we shall be better than we were before.

True Knowledge
Psalms 111:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
The scripture is self explanatory. The first step to obtaining wisdom, is developing a respect for God. Once we have reverenced the Lord for who He is than we can partake of true wisdom and understanding. We as christian believers have a standard to uphold, we must keep the commandments and we should have compassion on those who are in need.

The Lord shows grace and mercy upon us everyday. Therefore we should rejoice in the fact his grace and mercy never fails. So let's rejoice in the Lord and be thankful for all the many blessings he bestows upon us.

True Riches!

19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Often times we must re-evaluate our treasures in life. We must examine what is most important in our lives. As a Christian Believer our treasure should be our relationship with Christ. Some times we forget what true riches are, however, true riches are those that involve Christ because only what you do for Christ will last.

Prepare for the coming of the Lord!!!!
Matthew 24:35-51
35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This passage of scripture is quit clear. These scriptures are a warning, showing us that we should prepare for the coming of the Lord. The present time is very similar to the time of Noah. People are seeking everything but Christ. People do not believe that the end time draweth near. However, the word of God is true, if Jesus said He is coming back than you can count on the fact that He will return. Therefore we must be ready, we have to get our house in order. It is time to lay aside those things that are keeping us from serving the Lord. We must always be watching for no man knows when the Lord is coming back therefore we have to be ready. Everyone will get their just reward. We Christian believers must hold on, so that we can make it into the kingdom of God. Each day we hold on, we are that much closer to our reward. So we should be of good cheer. In this new year, we should try to do more for Christ. It is time for a world wide revival, because in this time of economic perail, people need God more than ever.

This passage of scripture is quit clear. These scriptures are a warning, showing us that we should prepare for the coming of the Lord. The present time is very similar to the time of Noah. People are seeking everything but Christ. People do not believe that the end time draweth near. However, the word of God is true, if Jesus said He is coming back than you can count on the fact that He will return. Therefore we must be ready, we have to get our house in order. It is time to lay aside those things that are keeping us from serving the Lord. We must always be watching for no man knows when the Lord is coming back therefore we have to be ready. Everyone will get their just reward. We Christian believers must hold on, so that we can make it into the kingdom of God. Each day we hold on, we are that much closer to our reward. So we should be of good cheer. In this new year, we should try to do more for Christ. It is time for a world wide revival, because in this time of economic perail, people need God more than ever.
